The Journey Behind Vui: From Village Roots to a Mission-Driven Brand

Five years ago, I started from the ground up—building my businesses, moving my family to LA, and working toward a bigger purpose. My newest adventure, @drinkvui, is more than just a beverage brand—it’s a mission. Vüi means "joy" in Vietnamese, and that's what I want to share through my drinks—a strong taste of Vietnam. The beverage industry is tough, with high storage and shipping costs, but Vui exists to uplift farmers and invest in their children’s future.

Growing up in a small village in Vietnam, I saw firsthand the struggles of hardworking farmers, including my own parents. Their efforts were often undervalued with their products sold for unfairly low prices in crowded markets. That’s why I created Vui—to bring their products to new markets and ensure they get the support they deserve. I'm inspired by their work ethic and their dedication. They remind me why I do this. I also draw inspiration from immigrant entrepreneurs who build something from nothing—people who take risks, hustle, and refuse to give up.

The biggest risk I took was entering an industry I knew nothing about. Coming from beauty, I had to teach myself everything—formulation, FDA regulations, production and distribution, while funding it all myself. It took two years of product development, over 100 carefully crafted recipe iterations, and 3000 taste tests shared with friends and family to gather honest feedback and refine every detail. Each trial brought me closer to capturing the vibrant, authentic flavors I envisioned.

I hope that with every sip of Vui, you’ll experience the same pure happiness that I do. Each can represents not just a refreshing drink but a connection to my roots and a commitment to help support low-income farmers back home.
